McCALEB, Justice.

This is a suit for compensation brought under Paragraph 2 of LSA-R.S. 23:1221 (formerly Paragraph B of Subsection 1 of *490Section 8 of the Employer’s Liability Act, Act No. 20 of 1914, as variously amended) for an injury alleged to have- produced permanent total disability to do work of any reasonable character.

The facts of the case are not seriously ■disputed and we find them to be as follows:
