This is a petition for an annulment of marriage and a counterclaim for support under the statute. The petitioner and defendant are of the Jewish faith and were married in Husatin, Russia, January 15th, 1903, by a rabbi. They immediately came to this country, settling in Elizabeth, where they cohabited until the latter part of September, 1916, when the petitioner-abandoned the defendant on the pretence that he had then discovered that she was not divorced, as she represented, at the time he married her.
