This is an action in equity in which the plaintiff sought to enjoin the defendant city of Marengo, Iowa, and the county treasurer from advertising,1 offering to sell, or selling certain real estate in the city of Marengo, Iowa, for the purpose of collecting certain special assessments levied thereon, and asked that such special assessments be canceled and that plaintiff’s title to such real estate be quieted as against any alleged claim or lien thereon because of such special assessments.
