Under tbe terms and provisions of chapter 119 of tbe Public Laws of 1887, several hundred persons made entries of certain oyster lands subjected to entry by that act and received grants therefor. By the provisions ■of chapter 287 of the Public Laws of 1893, the Solicitor 'of the First Judicial District was directed to institute proceedings in ejectment against such persons as had received grants for natural oyster or clam beds; and under the directions of that statute the Solicitor commenced suit against six hundred and ninety-four of those persons who had received grants under the provisions…
