At Maria Martinez’s trial for cocaine delivery, the State called John Rudd, a Department of Public Safety laboratory supervisor, to testify about laboratory test results. Rudd testified that although he did not conduct the tests personally, he reviewed his subordinate’s work and could give his opinion of the results.
