Julius 0. Todd, on the 9th day of .October, 1851, made oath before Thomas J. Bacon, a Justice of the Inferior Court of Troup county, that he had recently been in the quiet, and legally and peaceably acquired possession of two negro girls, Amanda and Margaret, of the value of one thousand dollars; and that about the 20th day of August, of that year, said slaves were taken, carried away and disappeared, by fraud or some other means, from- the possession of the deponent, and without…
