Plaintiff/appellee/cross-appellant Cason filed suit against BSF, Inc., and American National Fire Insurance Company (“American National”) after the latter denied Cason’s claim under a homeowner’s insurance policy issued by American National through BSF, its agent. American National filed a cross-claim against BSF, seeking indemnification for any sums for which American National might be held liable.
