WALTERS, Justice.

This appeal concerns a claim for worker’s compensation by plaintiff Dupper against defendants J.C. Penney Company, Inc., Dupper’s employer, and its insurer, Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. Dupper had completed her shift, signed out for the day, and was on her way to the employee parking lot when she tripped over a “pop-up” sprinkler head that had failed to retract after use.
