—In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, etc., the defendants appeal from an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Garson, J.), dated May 23, 2002, which granted *654the plaintiffs’ motion for summary judgment on the issue of liability and directed a trial on the issue of damages. Justice Krausman has been substituted for the late Justice O’Brien (see 22 NYCRR 670.1 [c]).

Ordered that the order is affirmed, without costs or disbursements.
