The defendant, Jamal Sharifpour, pled guilty to attempted aggravated criminal sexual assault (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 38, pars. 8 — 4(a), 12 — 14(a)(2)) and was subsequently sentenced to 14 years’ imprisonment.
