Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Broome County (Mathews, J.), rendered January 2, 2007, among other things, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crime of attempted assault in the first degree (two counts) and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

A jury found defendant guilty of two counts of attempted assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree stemming from evidence that he fired shots *1056into a vehicle occupied by Edwin Lambert and Daniel Barker on the night of July 18, 2005.
