ODOM, Justice.

Herman Clement, Emile Panvelle, Eddie Panvelle, and Junius Landry were convicted of violating the provisions of Act No. 130 of 1936. Separate bills of information were filed against them, and their cases are consolidated in this court.

The specific charge made against Herman Clement is that:

“[He] did wilfully and unlawfully go upon swamp lands, not in cultivation, in Township 13, South range IS East, situated in the Parish of St. James, owned by Burton and Schwartz Cypress Co. and set traps thereon, without the consent of said owner, or Francis Waguespack the lessee of said…
