VOLLACK, Justice.

The petitioners, Blue Cross of Western New York and Blue Shield of Western New York [hereinafter Blue Cross/Blue Shield], seek review of the court of appeals’ decision reversing the trial court’s award to Blue Cross/Blue Shield of no fault personal injury protection [hereinafter PIP] benefits from Hertz Corporation [hereinafter Hertz]. Bukulmez v.
