June 30, 1928, Duggie Alberg and Edwin Alberg, brothers, were each charged in the justice court with the crime of the unlawful possession of a half a pint of moonshine whiskey. Both defendants, as shown by the records of the justice of the peace, pleaded guilty on this day, and each was given a sentence of sixty days in the county jail and a fine of $100. It was provided in the sentence that, if the fines and costs were paid, the jail sentence would be suspended.
