SMITH, Judge.

Defendants, Caring Group Inc. and Martin Plotkin, appeal from the order of the trial court denying their motions to set aside default judgments against them.

Plaintiffs filed their petition against defendants on May 23,1986, seeking recovery of the unpaid principal and interest on a promissory note executed by Caring Group. The note was personally guaranteed by Plotkin, plaintiffs former son-in-law, and his ex-wife. The ex-wife was not joined as a party. Caring Group was served on June 3, 1986. Summons directed to Plotkin was returned unexecuted. Caring Group retained attorney…
