George F. Horton, doing business under the firm name of Horton & Horton, was engaged in the construction of a sewer system in the city of Houston, .and P. M. Hartley, the husband of Evelyn K. Hartley, and father of Sydnia C. Hartley, was, on the 30th day of April, 1913, in the employment of said Horton, and on the date name was killed while engaged in the service for which he was employed, by the caving of earth into an excavation then being made for a sewer.
