Appellant Gordon T. Carey (“Carey”) filed suit against United Airlines (“the airline”) for damages arising out of an incident between him and a flight attendant while flying from Costa Rica to Los Ange-les. Carey brought claims of intentional infliction of emotional and mental distress, negligent infliction of emotional and mental distress, and false imprisonment. Carey appeals the magistrate judge’s order granting the airline’s motion for summary judgment. We affirm.
