Kenneth C. Slovsky, the appellee, was awarded workers’ compensation under the provisions of Md.Code (1985 Repl. Yol.), Article 101, 1 for disability resulting from injuries sustained when he was struck by an automobile while crossing a public highway during a mid-shift break in his employment.
