Milwaukee County and the Milwaukee County Pension Board (collectively Milwaukee County) appeal a peremptory writ of mandamus. The trial court concluded that Milwaukee County had a duty under § 978.12(5)(c)5, Stats., 1 to transfer pension funds on behalf of petitioner Feiss and class members from the Milwaukee County Employee Retirement System (County Plan) to the Wisconsin Retirement System (State Plan).
