About 5:30 o’clock on the evening of November 11, 1936, shortly after dark had fallen, a number of automobiles were parked at intervals along the west curb of 52d Street between Spruce .Street on the north and Pine Street on the south in the City of Philadelphia; a procession of cars was also passing south over the portion of 52d Street occupied by the southbound trolley track.
