The petition for writ of habeas corpus filed in this case tests the validity of a judgment of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky entered May 8, 1962. After hearing, that court found that petitioner was so mentally incompetent as to be unable to understand the proceedings against him or to otherwise assist in his defense. Petitioner accordingly was committed to the custody of the Attorney General or his authorized representative and is presently confined in the Medical Center for Federal. Prisoners.
