The plaintiff Mercedes Muniz1 appeals from the judgment of the trial court rendered following the granting of the defendants’ motion to strike the *706plaintiffs amended complaint.2 On appeal, the plaintiff claims that the court improperly determined that she failed to demonstrate the requisite elements of a cause of action for (1) intentional infliction of emotional distress, as claimed in count three of the amended complaint, and (2) unfair trade practices pursuant to the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act (CUTPA), General Statutes § 42-110a et seq., as claimed in count…
