This appeal calls into issue the exclusivity of the Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Act, General Statutes §§ 31-275 through 31-355.

On October 30,1979, Frank Mingachos (the decedent) sustained injuries from an explosion while working on the Danbury premises of his employer, the named defendant, CBS, Inc. (CBS). On November 29, 1979, he died as a result of those injuries.
