Reep, was employed as a teacher of deaf and hard of hearing students in Norwell. *846In June, 1989, she declined an offer of reappointment for the forthcoming school year because her partner of thirteen years, Robert Kurnit, was relocating his business from Cambridge to Northampton, and she intended to move to Northampton with him.
