Appellant and cross-respondent Richard Frame initiated this action against Boatmen’s Bank of Concord Village and Boatmen’s National Bank of St. Louis based on his claim that Mark Murray, a vice-president at Boatmen’s Concord, had made oral representations that it would lend him $1.6 million for the purchase of certain real estate. 1 The bank subsequently failed to make the loan and appellant was unable to complete the purchase.
