The petitioner, C. M. Hvidston, made application to the Public Service Commission for a special certificate of public convenience and necessity authorizing him to transport by motor tank trucks petroleum products in bulk between all points in North Dakota.

At the hearing upon the petition the Northern Pacific Railway Company, Great Northern Railway Company, Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sanlte Ste. Marie Railroad Company, and Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad Company, common carrier railroads operating within the state, appeared and entered formal protests to its allowance.…
