| ^Defendant, Joey P. Griffin, appeals his conviction and sentence for violation of La. R.S. 14:65. For the following reasons, we affirm defendant’s conviction and defendant’s sentence as amended.

Procedural History

On October 19, 2012, the Jefferson Parish District Attorney filed a bill of information charging defendant with simple *380robbery in violation of La. R.S. 14:65.1 On April 24, 2013, defendant pleaded not guilty at arraignment. On May 30, 2013, defendant withdrew his plea of not guilty and entered a plea of guilty.
