On the sixth day of April, 1851, John McWhorter and Alexander S. Withers and wife conveyed to Leonard Orites “all the following-described tract or parcel of land, lying and being in the county of "Upshur, being lot No. 14, the division of a tract of thirty thousand acres sold as delinquent and forfeited in the county of Lewis, by commissioners of delinquent and forfeited land for said county of Lewis, as forfeited in the names of John Davenport and others, as by the plat, constituting part of the record in said cause, in the clerk’s office of the Circuit Court of Lewis…
