Plaintiffs appeal from a judgment quieting title in defendants to land in Santa Barbara County.
The property consists of a strip of beach land fronting on the Pacific Ocean above the line of high tide. It contains about twenty-one acres and has become valuable by reason of production of oil on said lands and on lower tidelands since 1929. Defendants S. M. Spalding and Caroline C. Spalding, his wife, own the uplands, and defendant Pacific Western Oil Company holds a lease from them.
