In this interlocutory appeal, the primary question presented is whether a party can be deemed served for the purpose of tolling the statute of limitations under Tenn. R. Civ. P. 3 and the saving statute when there has been no actual service of process. The plaintiffs filed a personal injury suit arising out of a car accident against Adesa Corporation in Knox County.
