This was an action in mandamus, brought in the district court for Lancaster county by the relator, the city of O’ Neill, to compel the respondent, the auditor of public accounts of the state of Nebraska, to register $7,000 of municipal bonds of the city of O’Neill, Nebraska, which bonds are called “O’Neill fire department bonds,” which bonds the city issued to procure fire fighting equipment.
