Plaintiff Mujahid Farid, suing under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, alleges that he was deprived of rights protected by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution when he was disciplined by state prison officials at the Woodborne Correctional Facility (“WCF”) for possessing and distributing a booklet, “The Politics of Parole,” of which he was the principal author.
