Following a jury trial, the defendant, Howard Wilcox, was convicted of kidnapping in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-92 (a) (2) (A),1 *443sexual assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-70 (a) (l),2 attempt to commit sexual assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes §§ 53a-49 (a) (2)3 4and 53a-70 (a) (1), assault in the third degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-61 (a) (l),4 and falsely reporting a motor vehicle theft in violation of General Statutes § 14-198.5 The trial court rendered judgment in…
