|,This class action arises out of the mass reduction in force of the Orleans Parish School Board following Hurricane Katrina. After a bench trial on the merits, the trial court rendered judgment in favor of the plaintiffs and against the Orleans Parish School Board and the Louisiana Department of Education, jointly and solidarily, for compensatory damages.
