This appeal of seven consolidated cases from the Court of Appeals is before us pursuant to our grant of certiorari to consider the question whether the waiver of subrogation clauses contained in certain leases are valid or whether they are violative of OCGA § 13-8-2. The parties are set forth in the Court of Appeals’ opinion, Southern Trust Ins. Co. v. Center Developers, 217 Ga. App. 215 (456 SE2d 608) (1995) and will not be repeated here.
