The Tennessee & Coosa Bivers Bailroad Company was a corporation extending from Gadsden on the Coosa river, by or near Guntersville on the Tennessee river, to Huntsville. Part of the grading and other work preparatory for the superstructure liad been done, but a very large part of the work remained to be done. On May 25th, 1888, Dan-forth & Armstrong, contractors, entered into a written contract with the corporate authorities of said railroad company to “construct and finish their said railroad,” with certain specified exceptions.
