SELYA, Circuit Judge.
The outcome of this appeal depends on whether a court or an arbitrator should decide a claim that an otherwise applicable arbitration clause is unenforceable. We hold that, in the circumstances of this case, the task is for the arbitrator.
Defendant-appellee Luxury Hotels International of Puerto Rico, Inc. (the Hotel) operates the Ritz-Carlton Hotel & Casino in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 2001, the Hotel hired plaintiff-appellant Tomás Escobar-Noble as a casino worker.
