GIBSON, Justice.

The parties will be referred to as they appeared in the trial court. Defendant in error was plaintiff, and commenced this action to quiet title to Lots 1 to 5, inclusive, in Block 8 of Lone Pine Addition to Idabel, Oklahoma, by filing his petition in the District Court of' McCurtain County on June 11, 1947.

Conflicting claims of title arise by virtue of the proceedings in an action to foreclose a real estate mortgage given by a'former owner, Ida Jones. Plaintiff claims by mesne conveyances of the heirs of said mortgagor and adverse possession, and defendants claim by virtue of…
