Appeal from an order of the Family Court of Schoharie County (Czajka, J.), entered April 29,1997, which, inter alia, dismissed petitioner’s application, in a proceeding pursuant to Family Court Act article 6, for visitation with the parties’ child.

Petitioner and respondent are the parents of a daughter, Marissa (born in 1994). On June 19, 1996, petitioner pleaded guilty to one count of attempted murder in the second degree and two counts of reckless endangerment in the first degree and subsequently was sentenced to, inter alia, a term of imprisonment of 5 to 15 years.
