This case comes before us on defendant’s petition for review of his conviction for sale of cocaine. He argued before the Court of Appeals that his Sixth Amendment right to effective assistance of counsel was violated because of his trial counsel’s conflict of interest. The Court of Appeals acknowledged that a conflict of interest existed and that there had been no waiver of the conflict of interest by the defendant.
