CLARK, Circuit Judge:

Ed F. Vanston brought this action for damages against Connecticut General Life Insurance Company (Connecticut General), alleging breach of contract as well as wrongful interference with and improper competition against Vanston’s efforts to promote and sell insurance-related retirement programs to various companies and associations in the moving industry.
