The plaintiffs commenced this action in the superior court for King county, to recover from the defendants the possession of lot 9, block 14, Bigelow addition to Seattle, to recover damages for withholding possession, and to quiet title as against the claim of defendants made under an earnest money receipt purporting to be a contract for the sale of the lot to them by the plaintiffs’ grantor. The defendants answered, setting up their claimed right to purchase the lot under the earnest money receipt.
