This personal injury action arises out of an automobile accident which occurred on June 26, 1976. At that time the plaintiff, Catherine C. Alfree, was an occupant of an automobile operated by her husband, the defendant, Edwin W. Alfree, Jr. The par ties have since separated but they are not divorced.
