ROBERTSON, Judge.

In this case we consider due process and equal protection challenges to Section 454.-465.1, RSMo Supp.1993. That statute creates a legal obligation in a parent to repay the state for payments of public assistance made by the state for the benefit of a child whose parent has not fulfilled his or her support obligation. The trial court found the statute constitutional and entered a monetary judgment for the state. Our jurisdiction is founded on the constitutional challenges to the statute. Mo. Const, art. V, § 3.
