Each, of the appellants, plaintiffs helow, brought suit at law to recover shares of stock, or their value, and damages for the detention of them, from the Chesapeake Bank, the Coale Corporation, and the two individuals, Delcher and Coale; and, after the appointment of the bank commissioner as receiver of the assets of the bank, he was, upon petition and order of the court of law in which the suits had been filed, substituted in each case as defendant in the place of the bank.
