OPINION

CAYCE, Chief Justice.

Guadalupe J. Reyes appeals his conviction for the misdemeanor offense of assaulting a family member. See Tex. Penal *919Code Ann. § 22.01 (Vernon Supp.2001). In four points, appellant argues that the trial court erred by admitting hearsay evidence. We will affirm.

BACKGROUND
