12Defendant/appellant, Trenton Tatum (“Tatum”), appeals both his conviction of conspiracy to obstruct justice, as well as his sentence.

On October 28, 2008, the Jefferson Parish District Attorney filed a bill of information charging Tatum with the attempted second degree murder of Marvin Newman (“Newman”), in violation of La. R.S. 14:27 and La. R.S.14:30.1. On May 11, 2009, the State filed an amended bill of information charging Tatum with two offenses.
