George Duncan appeals from a final judgment entered by the District Court1 upon a jury verdict against him in his action under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. Duncan seeks actual and punitive damages arising out of alleged violations of his civil rights by Thomas Clements, a parole officer with the Missouri Board of Probation and Parole, and Robert Schaeffer, an officer with the *50St. Louis Police Department.
