Doyle, Judge.

Karan Butler appeals the denial of her plea in bar and motion to dismiss her indictment based on a violation of her right to a speedy trial. We reverse and remand with direction, for reasons that follow.

The record shows that Butler was arrested on May 30, 2007, and charged with several crimes arising out of a May 28, 2007 robbery and shooting of a cab driver. She was indicted on October 4, 2007, and charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of marijuana.
