OPINION
ROBERT L. CARTER, District Judge.
In an opinion issued March 25, 1992, familiarity with which is assumed, the court denied defendant Pia Johanson’s motions to *326dismiss and for summary judgment. De.fendant1 thereafter failed to answer the complaint, and, on June 2, 1992, the Clerk of the Court noted her default.2 Pursuant to Rule 55(b)(2), F.R.Civ.P., plaintiff Gordon Grant has now moved for a default judgment. Defendant has cross-moved to set aside the entry of default, under Rule 55(c), F.R.Civ.P., and for an enlargement of time in which to answer, under Rule 6(b), F.R.Civ.P.
